The folks over at Oliver Schrott Kommunication, a New York City-based marketing and communications agency, recently produced a lovely two- minute time-lapse video of Detroit titled “Always on the Road: Witnessing Rays of Hope in Detroit.”

“As a former resident of the area, I was proud to have a hand in this and hope that it can bring more positive attention to the city,” OSK account manager Steve Smith tells Metro Times.

Have a look for yourself, and enjoy the beautiful shots of downtown hustle and bustle, the Renaissance Center, Eastern Market, and more.

I would rather see a time lapse of Detroit from the 50′s to today. That way we can see how this has gone from a great city to nothing but a bunch of ramshackle buildings left after everything else was torn down. Great societies do not tear down history, that’s why Detroit will never be great again.
