    That’s the Detroit I remember. For Detroiters of my generation, many of us continue to look at Detroit through the lens of what it once was rather than what it has become. We do so because it’s just too painful to see Detroit now as it really is. Thanks Deadline Detroit for this great look back.

    Imagine,if you will,what the visitors from around the world would have seen 1 year after the insurrection of 1967.12th street(Rosa Parks Blvd) and the COD still hasn’t recovered from what it once looked like and most likely never will.To see this video,and what the COD looked like in 1965,is fantastic!Many of the buildings and stadiums,arenas,parks,pools are no longer around.Fond memories of what the City of Detroit once looked like!!!
