Nain Rouge

The Nain Rouge, Detroit’s folkloric harbinger of doom, will be subject of a new comic book written by author Josef Bastian and drawn by Patrick McEvoy, who has drawn for Marvel Comics. The book will be first in a planned Folkteller publishing group, which will bring “obscure regional folklore to a wider audience.”

According to a press release, a video promoting the graphic novel, shot at the Detroit Institute of Arts, features Troy-based actor Martin Klebba (Pirates of the Caribbean), rumored to be playing the Nain Rouge in a planned major motion picture.
