Michigan man arrested for talking too much at township board meeting
A Michigan man was arrested recently after he allegedly refused to stop talking at a Bridgeport Township board meeting.
According to various reports, 59-year-old Mark Adams was arraigned last week in Saginaw District Court and slammed with a felony charge of resisting and obstructing a police officer, as well as with a misdemeanor count of disturbing the peace– this is, apparently, all because the gent exceeded his 3 minute speaking time limit and ignored warnings of officers who asked him to call it quits.
The resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer charge carries a maximum penalty of two years behind bars. Adams is slated to have a preliminary hearing next week.
Here’s some footage of Adams’ “wordy” speech and of his subsequent arrest, captured by YouTuber Carla Citizen.
