Drunken Livonia driver stops at police station to use the bathroom, is immediately arrested
In today’s bout of dumb criminal news, a drunken Livonia driver was arrested last night after stopping in at a police station to use the restroom.
Various reports suggest that a 66-year-old man bumbled into a Washtenaw County police station around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday inquiring about the loo, when a township firefighter at the scene noticed the man, who had gotten out of a vehicle driver’s seat only moments before, appeared to be drunk.
Police asked the man to perform several field sobriety tests, which he did and promptly failed. The man was arrested on the spot.
