In September, Open Table released its top 100 restaurants “Fit for Foodies,” based on reviews from some 5 million diners across the nation.

Nestled among the various rants and raves of America’s self-proclaimed connoisseurs, is a list of 10 metro Detroit restaurants that earned a Diner’s Choice Award.

Keep in mind this list is based solely off of user-submitted reviews.

They missed 2 obvious choices who probably are not on OpenTable – Roast and Iridescence.

Lark has been getting some really negative reviews on Yelp…check the filtered reviews for the real story not the ones on the front page.

    Polish village cafe – Hamtramck

Roast should have been on here!

The last few times I have gone to the River Crab the food was mediocre at best. When I think to myself “I can make something better at home” then there is a problem.. I won’t be going back anytime soon.. Unless they change the menu

OP is the best at #5

When did Ann Arbor become a part of “Metro Detroit”? It’s a 45 minute drive if everything goes right. Ocean Prime and Capitol Grille are chain restaurants. Good but overpriced for suckers. God Bless the person who wrote “Polish Village”! :)

Forgot to add that the best meal I’ve had in 15 years was at the new Joe Muers. Try the lobster bisque -best around hands down.

Polish Village is pretty heavy on the microwaved and frozen items. Not sure why anyone would think it’s remotely good.
Ocean Prime and Capitol Grille are chains, but pretty good. Roast is basically part of a mini-chain too, not that it matters.
And personally I don’t think of AA as Metro Detroit.

    Or St.Clair …or White Lake?

Yes OP and CG are good. But I ordered scallops at Ocean Prime and I got 3. With no sides included. Only 28 bucks! Such a deal! Good thing I was hammered from the $12 dollar Long-Island Iced Teas. :(

and you could feed about 10 people for the price of 2 at ANY of the ones listed above…. what is their wine list like…. I didn’t see it on their website? can I wear flip flops and sweat pants you know like at the others?

I don’t think of mount clemons as metro Detroit either.
