Decadence, this season's sinful party, returns to seduce you on Friday, November 2nd! The Party comes alive with a lavish atmosphere inside the historic Fillmore Detroit Theatre. Satisfy your cravings for premium libations, savory cuisine and specialty desserts from the finest eateries in metro Detroit. Indulge in local burlesque troupe The Detroit Dizzy Dames and jam to the funky swing jazz of local legends, Planet D Nonet! Presented by Metro Times and The Social Connection, Decadence is not to be missed!
General admission tickets are
$35 in advance or $40 at the door. VIP tickets are $55 and include access to the exclusive VIP speakeasy lounge. Each ticket includes 9 drink tickets with entry. Guests must be at least 21 years of age with a valid license.
Detroit Dizzy Dames, a burlesque and variety troupe based out of Detroit. will provide the evening's varietease entertainment. The Dames will bring a dozen performers from their troupe trained in the art of burlesque, and will feature many forms of varietease entertainment including singing, comedy, choreographed dance, silhouette dancing, sideshow, cheesecake teasing, fetish, fire and parody.
Planet D Nonet, one of Detroit's finest swing jazz bands, will keep the party moving all night. A typical gig is anything but ordinary. The performances range from 30's jazz and swing chart-toppers to Detroit R&B and even space-age jazz from Sun Ra. The national touring act was founded by the legendary RJ Spangler and continues scores of fans across the area, with regular gigs at storied local jazz venues like Cliff Bell's.
Sinful cocktails will be provided by Cointreau, Finlandia, Jack Daniels, Mount Gay Rum, Southern Comfort, Tanqueray and Woodford Reserve. Beer to be provided by Detroit craft master Motor City Brewing Works. Along with their adult beverages, guests will sample cuisine from some of metro Detroit's most delectable eateries, including Café Sushi, Cliff Bell's, Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company, The Henry Ford Museum, Peteet's Cheesecakes, Rock City Pies and Treat Dreams and more!
