City Slang: Suzi Quatro is all better and ready for the DMA’s

Suzi Quatro headlines an impressive lineup of entertainment at this year’s Detroit Music Awards, one year after being forced to pull out due to a leg injury sustained when exiting a plane.

Thankfully, Quatro is fighting fit again, and likely desperate to give Detroit fans the show that we missed last year.

Also on the bill are Ife Mora, Katie Grace, Sweet Crystal with David Winans, Cybertrybe, Passalacqua, Blackbyrd Revue, and Mike Ridley.

Quatro, Kem, Motown executive Harry Balk and late entertainment attorney Mike Novak will be honored.

    About time that Suzi Quatro is being honoured in the US. Suzi for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The US doesn’t realize what a Female Rock Trailblazer they produced. Forget Joan Jett. She stole Suzi Quatro’s act, look and style and became famous on Suzi’s pioneering effort in the early 1970′s. Suzi Quatro – WORLD QUEEN OF ROCK. The Original, and the Best. Thank You Detroit.

    I came last year from Australia even when Suzi had to pull out. It was an AWESOME night to see The Pleasure Seekers/Cradle receive their awards. Christa Hillhouse (4Non Blondes) did a great job filling in for Suzi. Had front row table & ROCKED!!! Coming back again for this years event :-)
